Major Off-Grid Upgrade in the Mountains
These new homeowners were moving from out of state to retire in the mountains. They purchased a small cabin that was previously used only on weekends and Holidays. They asked us to design and install a system that would provide them with enough power to live full time. After getting the homeowners to provide what they would like to power ( their loads ) we decided that the current system could not power what they needed and would need to be upgraded. The original system had about 500W in solar panels and a Samlex inverter w/ old lead-acid batteries. Our design included 4.8kW of new PV panels, a single Sol-Ark 15k Hybrid Inverter and 30kWhrs of EG4-LL UL listed Lithium Iron Batteries. We designed and installed the system so they could live in their new home full time.
